The item's name and examine text are references to that game. Each title has rank and destiny restrictions. During a play-through each class has access to the first two titles and a choice of the third or fourth. Each class routine adds to an overall class talent score via points. Routines can be found on the left-hand sidebar once unlocked.
This item was released to commemorate open beta access to Jagex's online card game Chronicle: RuneScape Legends. Each class has access to its own set of routines, titles and skills. The Chronicle now teleports players outside the Champion's Guild rather than inside, which allowed players with fewer than 32 quest points to enter the guild. The Chronicle teleport to the Champion's guild can no longer be activated in the Wilderness. The "Check charges" option was made right-click, so Wield is now the default option. If the Chronicle is lost or destroyed, it retains its charges if bought back. Upon death, when not an item kept on death, it is destroyed. The book can hold a maximum of 1,000 charges, with one being used each time the Chronicle is used to teleport. Players can purchase them from Diango's Toy Store. In order to use the Chronicle, it must be charged with teleport cards. If the player has a copy of the book in the inventory or bank, trying to buy another one will fail, and the user will receive the following message: "You've already got one of those." 
Note that each player is able to obtain only 1 copy of the Chronicle. It can now be purchased from Diango's Toy Store for 300 coins.

The Chronicle is an equippable book that can be used to teleport the player to just outside the Champions' Guild, making it useful for players who plant seeds in Bush and Hops patches.ĭuring the 2016 Easter event, players were able to acquire it for free by defeating the Chocolate Chicken during the event.
